Behind the Laughter[edit]

In the early drafts of the script it was named Lucky 7 Wedding Chapel which is what it is named in The Simpsons Uncensored Family Album.

The name is a play on shotgun wedding, an expression for a hurried wedding because of the bride's pregnancy, and the real life casino Whiskey Pete's in Primm, Nevada right on the border with California. The casino complex also has the Bonnie and Clyde death car as a permanent exhibit.[2]
