The Springfield Museum of Natural History is the second natural history museum of Springfield.

History

This museum was built after the first one had been burned down. Some time after being rebuilt, it was closed due to lack of interest. [citation needed]

The Simpsons: Hit & Run

In "The Simpsons: Hit & Run", a meteor used by Kang and Kodos to produce the latest Buzz Cola is located above a dinosaur skeleton. The cola brings the skeleton to life but is destroyed when Bart accidentally unplugs the meteor causing it to explode.
