Bart Simpson #71 Sound Thinking! In an effort to win a contest for the loudest and grossest video, Bart sets trucks loaded with killer bees, glue and nitroglycerin rolling toward a crowd. As Mayor Quimby, Homer and Marge flee the chaos, they exclaim together, "Bees! Glue! Nitro! Oh my!" This is a reference to the "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" line by Dorothy Gale, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman just before they meet the Cowardly Lion in the movie. Bart Simpson #72 Rock 'N' Roll After being hit on the head during a skateboarding stunt, Bart has a dream where he and his family members are cavepeople. When he wakes up, he says he had the strangest dream, then points in turn to Marge, Lisa, Maggie and Homer and tells them they were in it, echoing the scene where Dorothy wakes up at the end of the movie. Additionally, the neighbor's dog, Toto, jumps onto Bart's bed, confusing him. In addition to being a namesake, the dog is also a look-a-like for Toto the dog in the movie.

In Chief Wiggum's dream of being a cop in the future, Officer Shooty arrests Snake for a street theft. When Shooty reads Snake his rights, he says, "If you are in space, you have the right to have no one hear you scream", referencing the Alien tagline. Wiggum and his ape partner Officer Cornelius respond to a domestic dispute. The couple in the dispute are an Alien Queen and a Yautja warrior from Predator. The conflict between the couple escalates and the Predator activates the self-destruct device in his wrist gauntlet. The resulting explosion destroys the entire neighborhood and Wiggum and Cornelius escape barely in time. The visual as they fly away is similar to the end of Aliens, when the atmosphere processing station explodes.

Hawkeye Pierce (given name Benjamin Franklin Pierce) is a surgeon on M*A*S*H.

History

Lisa got eardrops at Dr. Hibbert's office and had to wait 20 minutes for them to sink in. Hibbert offered her a M*A*S*H coloring book (with Hawkeye and his bunkmate B.J. Hunnicutt on the cover) in case she got bored. As he handed her the book, he glanced at the pictures and chuckled at one of them as he read the caption aloud: "Hawkeye's antics irritate the other surgeons."

Behind the Laughter

Hawkeye Pierce was the central protagonist of the M*A*S*H TV series and was one of the few characters to appear for the entire run of the show. His trademark was using humor to cope with the stress of front-line surgery. He was portrayed by Donald Sutherland in the film and Alan Alda in the TV series.

The Penalizer

The Penalizer was Principal Seymour Skinner's supervillain alter-ego. He went on a brief spree in Springfield until he was stopped by Bartman.

Description

Costume

The Penalizer's costume was a green coverall with a puma logo on the chest. The Penalizer's face was covered by a brown hood equipped with eyeholes and held in place by a grey cord. The costume's gloves and boots were also brown, and the costume had utility pouches at the waist, wrists and boot tops.

Modus Operandi

The Penalizer's motive was to ensure that people who committed crimes that went against society's norms received what he felt were appropriate punishments. Equipped with a pair of night-vision binoculars, he patrolled the streets of Springfield at night looking for offenders. After catching them in the act, he confronted the offenders, orchestrating his reveal for frightful effect. He then made them inflict ironic punishments on themselves by using a rare working Hypno-Coin.
