Don Bookner is a retired safety inspector at Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's Sector 7-G.
History[edit]
During a retirement party for Bookner at the power plant, Homer did not know who he was. When Bookner told him his job, Homer told him that that was his job. Bookner explained to Homer that he had been covering for him all these years. Homer pleaded with him to stay, but Bookner said it was too late. Without Bookner, Homer had to do all the work by himself.
Later, as Homer was hypnotized into thinking he was 10 years old, he and Lisa performed a mini concert to Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street". Lenny and Carl watched them from outside, and Carl said that they had managed to convince Bookner to come out of retirement, meaning that Bookner was reinstated and would therefore cover for Homer again for all his mistakes.
