The robot is a robot that was designed for killing, and crushing skulls.

History[edit]

The Skull Crushers union.

When Wayne mentioned that he had recurring flashbacks to a nightmarish past, Homer remarked that he had recurring flashforwards to a nightmarish future. A close-up view of a pile of skulls was shown as a robotic foot stomped down and crushed two skulls. The robot was then seen holding a large gun, with a group of people, including Homer, Lenny, and Carl, standing behind it.

Two members held up a sign that read "Skull Crushers Local 521," while the whole group chanted, "unfair, unfair!" Homer angrily exclaimed that the robot had taken their jobs. As the robot turned to face him, Homer quickly stated that Lenny said it. When the robot blasted Lenny, disintegrating him, Homer said, "or maybe it was him," referring to Carl. After the robot blasted Carl, Homer said, "man, this robot really gets me." Homer's flashforward then promptly ended.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Homer's flashforward and the robot's design are a reference to the Terminator film series. The emblem on the group's sign reads "International Brotherhood of Skull Crushers".
