Springfield Library, formerly Old Springfield Library, is Springfield's main library. This library has very old books like diaries and calendars, unlike the Springfield Public Library. Lisa visits this library often.

History[edit]

It has serious bat problems in the filing cabinets.[1] The library once had an out of date 47-star American flag which was stolen by Homer.[2]

Gary Chalmers took Bart here to teach him. He ended up teaching Bart about Theodore Roosevelt from books and the Internet here and Bart didn't want to leave. Chalmers later agreed to take Bart on a small field trip.[3]
