History[edit]

The mill

The cider mill operated continuously from the time it was built, until 1941, when its workers left to fight in the Second World War. When they returned, it was exactly as they left it, except now, it was infested with thousands, upon thousands of rats, gnawing away at the apples and splashing around in the toilets.

Features[edit]

The inside of the cider mill

The mill sells apple cider, apple juice, apple hats (similar to cheese hats), apple pies, and many other apple related products in the gift shop. The ticket office also offers season passes.[1]

At the cider mill, February and August are known as "Tart Months", when the mill can produce cider sour enough to give any American a permanent French accent.[2]
