The Cylons are robots from Battlestar Galactica.
History
They were fighting against C-3PO and R2-D2 (referred to as the "gay robots from Star Wars") in a wrestling match at the Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con. One was beating C-3PO easily.[1]
Comic Book Guy let Bart and Lisa come along with him as the Cylons had not yet invaded so it's still a free country.[2]
