Melanie Upfoot is the former principal and teacher at Springfield Elementary School.
History[edit]
Women of Springfield harshly criticized Principal Skinner for saying that girls were bad at maths. Due to the escalation of women protests against him, Gary Chalmers replaced Seymour with Melanie Upfoot. Principal Upfoot ordered the school to be divided in two halfs, one for boys and one for girls. Upfoot was also the teacher of maths at the girls' side of the school.
