Roz Davis is Homer's former assistant and a former nuclear safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

History

Roz is a very tall and independent woman from Ohio.

At a Bible Camp, Roz won a race against everyone, including Ned Flanders. Ned then gave her a hug but Roz pushed him away and said that she hated to be touched, and not to tell anyone.

Homer was overjoyed to have gotten an assistant and showed her around. When Barney called Homer and asked him to go and see Paul Flart: Water Park Cop with him, Homer asked Roz to cover for him. However, Roz snitched on Homer and he was demoted, with Roz taking his place. Roz then started going to Moe's Tavern as well.

Roz later won an award for "Employee of the Millennium". Homer, now armed with the information that she hated to be touched, told Mr. Burns that he should hug Roz as well. He does this and Roz attacks Burns, leading to him firing her. She then tried to explain to Homer than he is smarter than she thought, although Homer got confused as to what she was saying. Homer then got his head stuck in her trophy and she failed to get it off his head, instead getting it further on his head.

Relationship with Homer

Roz praised Homer's reprehensible attitudes at first, saying that Homer's smile looked like "summer breeze". She probably lied to win your trust. After usurping Homer's position, Roz became hard and rigid with him, bullying and doing everything possible to make his job miserable. After being exposed and defeated by Homer, Roz accepts defeat and claims he underestimated his intelligence, although Homer doesn't understand. They probably started a real friendship from there.

Personality

She was initially kind and pleasant to Homer, but then she turned out to be a fake, grumpy and domineering woman. Roz probably likes to always be first place. However, she was very friendly at Moe's Tavern, offering to pay the Lenny and Carl bill.

Trivia

  • Roz's look is based on the look of her voice actress, Jane Lynch, especially her hair.

Because he hates being touched by others, Roz may suffer from haphefobia, like the antagonist Buddy Revell from the movie Three O'Clock High.

  • Like Homer, Roz hates Flanders and seems to like beer.
  • After being fired from the Usina, she probably returned to Ohio.
