Yao Ming was one of the athletes who signed up to Homer Simpson's Showboating Academy to learn how to do obnoxious celebrations. During dinner at the Simpsons' house, Marge asked who wanted to help clean up. Ming claimed, in Chinese, that he didn't understand English. Lisa then pointed out that Ming could speak excellent English. Ming then told Lisa to shut up as he had a good thing going on here. Later, Yao Ming was ironing clothes in the Simpsons' house. During Homer's Super Bowl half-time show, Yao Ming and the other athletes Homer was teaching were moving the arc.[1]
