Character Information
|
Manny Tar is an employee at Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He was formerly the safety inspector for Sector 7-G and was later promoted to Head of Production.
History
When Mr. Burns decides to give a promotion to his low-level employees, he gives it to Manny Tar. Waylon Smithers asks Tar if he is a low-level employee and he tells him that he is—the dungeon catacombs are the lowest level. He tells Smithers that he was a regular Joe and started to work after high school, and all the radiation on the job turned him into a minotaur. Homer asks Tar if it is true that radiation turned him into a horrible monster, to which he replies that it's true. When Homer asks where he worked, he tells him that he was the safety inspector for Sector 7-G.
Behind the Laughter
Manny Tar's name is a pun on minotaur.
