Donald Trump is an American businessman.

History

When a yo-yo craze hit Springfield Elementary School, Bart proved to be very good at yo-yo tricks. Homer told Marge that soon he would be able to quit his job and "live off the boy", but Marge challenged him to name one person who had gotten rich by doing yo-yo tricks. After considering Donald Trump, Arnold Palmer and Bill Cosby, Homer realized to his chagrin that there wasn't any such person.^[1]

A homeless man at the Bumtown Soup Kitchen called Seymour Skinner Donald Trump, right after Edna Krabappel stood him up.^[2] When Lisa came to pick up Marge Simpson, Charles Heathbar said that he wanted to tell to his wife "you're fired!" When Marge and Lisa didn't laugh, he said that he had imitated Donald Trump and if they knew who he was, they would have laughed. Marge and Lisa than told him that they knew who he was, and he told them that he not believe them as the joke was perfect.^[3]

During a balcony scene in Italy Homer starts making gestures and poses, which cause Lisa to ask him "not to imitate Benito Mussolini". Homer then says he was actually imitating Donald Trump.^[4]

Trump served as President of the United States, immediately preceding Lisa Simpson. While in office, Trump evidently made some bad financial decisions, leaving the Simpson administration with "quite a budget crunch".^[5]

Homer nominated Trump for the Ice Bucket Challenge.^[6]
