Smithers said that he'd be gone by the tug-of-war.[1] He was still working for the Plant as he, along with his wife and Tom, attended the Plant get-together at the Springfield War Memorial Stadium.[2]

He, his wife and his son appeared as extras in the McBain movie.[3]
