When Homer was an artist, Lisa tried to make him mad by reading the newspaper. Lisa read him an article saying that David Letterman might be hosting the Oscars, with other contenders being Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal.[1]
She is also one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[2]
