He appeared in the television special It's a Krusty Kind of Christmas alongside Krusty and South American sensation Xoxchitla. Krusty describes Landry as a "respected private citizen".[1]
The coach in Homer's fantasy bears a striking resemblance to Landry.[2]
Homer later bought Tom Landry's hat, and wore it on several occasions.[3]
