Springy the Springfield Spring is a mascot that Homer designed for the Springfield Olympic Games.

History[edit]

When Channel 6 sponsored a contest to design a new Olympic mascot for the Springfield Olympic Games, Homer created Abby the Olympic Tabby, which was just Snowball II inside papier mache. When the rest of the family hated this and Lisa freed Snowball, Homer revealed that he had a backup mascot, Springy, which the family liked. Springy was later picked as the winner and became the mascot, beating out Patty and Selma's Ciggy.

After Springfield lost the Olympics, Homer's shipment of springs arrived. He then tried to get rid of them to other people before flushing them down into the ocean.
