Behind the Laughter

Bill Buckner was a first baseman for several Major League Baseball teams from 1969-1990. Bill Buckner is well known for his miscue in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. The Boston Red Sox were winning the series 3-2 and were one game away from winning their first World Series championship since 1908. A ball was hit toward him, but went under his legs. A run scored on the play to win the game, and eventually the World Series for the New York Mets.
