Ralph-0-Cop was a robot on the Robot Rumble TV show. It was owned by Chief Wiggum and his son Ralph.

History

Ralph-0-Cop rolled on tank treads, wore a police officer's cap, and had a picture of Ralph for its face. For tools, it had one arm that stuck out straight holding a gun.

When Ralph-0-Cop fought Chief Knock-A-Homer, Ralph-0-Cop attacked first, charging and firing his gun. The bullets went through Chief Knock-A-Homer's body, hitting Homer (who was secretly inside the robot) in the arms. Homer then turned the tables on Ralph-0-Cop, grabbing his gun and shooting him several times in the head to win the fight. At this, the match announcer said, "Well, if you wanna see a mailbox shoot a boy, that's about as close as you're gonna get."

Behind the Laughter

  • "Ralph-0-Cop" is a pun on RoboCop.
  • Unlike the episode, real-life robot fighting competitions have strict guidelines prohibiting the use of projectile weapons, such as firearms, for the safety of both contestants and spectators.
