Dr. Wolfe is the dentist who owns a clinic called "Painless Dentistry".

History[edit]

He informed Marge that Lisa needed braces, at exactly the same time that Mr. Burns revoked Homer's dental plan. Unable to pay for good braces, Dr. Wolfe gave Lisa a set that "predated stainless steel." In the end, Homer got the dental plan back, and Lisa got a new set of invisible braces.[1]

Later, it was discovered he was, in fact, a rogue periodontist, ultimately requiring Lisa to have braces again.[2]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Anthony Perkins had agreed to voice Dr. Wolfe, but fell ill and could not record the part. Clint Eastwood and Anthony Hopkins had also been asked to provide a voice, but both declined.
