Ralph is one of two friends at the Springfield Elementary School. He plays in the school band.
History
Once when Lisa was very depressed, Marge told her that she shouldn't show her sadness and should instead put on a smile. Lisa then faked a smile, got out of the car and walked up to the school to go to band practise. Ralph noticed her smiling and invited her over to do his homework, saying that before he thought she was weird for being sad. Behind the Laughter
- According to Al Jean on the DVD commentary for the episode is he called "Ralph", which also is his name in the script on the DVD.
- Ralph is considered to be an early prototype for Ralph Wiggum, although due to later appearances, he is a separate character.
