Animal Information
Species: Bird
Color: Black/Gray
Status:
Alive
First Appearance: "Take My Life, Please" (title screen)

The three-eyed crow is a bird with three eyes. This is likely due to a mutation, as with Blinky, the three-eyed fish.

Trivia

  • Every time a wide shot of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant is shown, a crow can be heard. This may be the three-eyed crow, due to the three eyes possibly being caused by nuclear radiation.

Behind the Laughter

Since the episode "Take My Life, Please", the crow has been the most common appearance on the title screen gags. In season 20, the crow was the only appearance. Since season 21, there have been other title screens, with some featuring the crow.

Apart from the regular flying, the crow has appeared in title screens holding a rat[1], holding Blinky[2], being grabbed by King Homer[3], flying past Martin Prince, Jr.[4], being struck by lightning[5], and pixelated[6].
