When the Simpsons were lost in Tanzania, they found their way to Joan Bushwell's Chimp Refuge, which Lisa had heard of. The family went to Dr. Bushwell for help. Lisa told Dr. Bushwell that her work had inspired her. Dr. Bushwell told the Simpsons that every day she got up at 5:30am to watch the chimps and spent most of her day watching them.
