Maisie MacWeldon is the wife of Groundskeeper Willie.
History[edit]
Before Willie moved to America, he worked as a peat sniffer for Pa MacWeldon. Whilst doing this job, he met Maisie and the two of them fell in love. However, the rest of the MacWeldon family disapproved of their relationship. When Willie and Maisie made plans to run away to America together, Maisie's family told Maisie that Willie had been killed by a sheep, so she never turned up at the ship to America, leaving Willie to go there alone with his heart broken.
Years later, Willie told the story of how Maisie abandoned him to Bart and the two of them bonded over their dislike of girls. However, when Bart and Willie made TikTok videos of the things they did together, Maisie saw them and slid into Willie's DMs to reconnect with him. The two of them decided to get married and Willie rushed off to Edinburgh for the wedding. When Bart got concerned over Willie being missing, Willie video called Bart to tell him to come to him, before Willie was pulled off screen. Bart convinced his parents to go to Scotland to save Willie but when they arrived, they found that Willie was getting married to Maisie.
Willie and Maisie had several events planned leading up to the wedding, which Homer, Marge and Bart went along on. Bart grew more and more annoyed over Willie getting together with Maisie as he thought that he and Willie had a connection over disliking girls. When Bart talked to Lisa about his feelings, Lisa told Bart to let Willie be happy and Bart finally accepted the relationship. However, when Willie asked Bart to lead the dance with several girls, Bart got annoyed and threw the wedding cake out of the window, which upset Maisie.
On the day of the wedding, Bart overheard Maisie's father talking to Hamish and Owen about how they were just using Willie to sniff up more peat to make their scotch more profitable. Pa MacWeldon also said that Maisie would marry another man once they were done with Willie. When Bart was caught by the MacWeldon's, he was locked away in a room with the gift bags. Bart found that they had sleeping masks in and tied them together to get out of the tower and to the wedding so he could stop it. After Bart told Willie that Maisie doesn't love him and that the family was just using him for his nose, Maisie told Willie that she had no idea that they were planning that and that she did love him. To prove it, she headbutted him in the nose repeatedly, breaking it and making it so he could never smell anything again. The wedding goes through and Willie takes Maisie back to America with him.
Personality[edit]
Maisie is a tough Scottish lass, but also seems to care a lot. This was shown by her willingness to run away from her family to America to be with Willie, until she was told that he had died. Maisie showed that she was capable of being tough and forceful to get what she wanted, as seen when she repeatedly headbutted Willie to break his nose.
