Owen MacWeldon is the brother of Maisie MacWeldon.

History

Before Groundskeeper Willie moved to America, he worked as a peat sniffer for Pa MacWeldon. Whilst doing this job, he met Maisie and the two of them fell in love. However, the rest of the MacWeldon family disapproved of their relationship. When Willie and Maisie made plans to run away to America together, Maisie's family told Maisie that Willie had been killed by a sheep, so she never turned up at the ship to America, leaving Willie to go there alone with his heart broken.

Years later, Maisie managed to reconnect with Willie and the two of them decided to get married. Owen attended the rehearsal dinner for the event. On the day of the wedding, Bart overheard Pa talking to Hamish and Owen about how they were just using Willie for his peat sniffing ability to make their scotch more profitable. He also said that they would get rid of Willie and get Maisie a better husband after they were done with him. Bart was caught by them and Pa locked Bart in a tower with the gift bags.

Bart looked through the gift bags and found that they had sleeping masks in. He tied them together to get out of the tower and got to the wedding so he could stop it. Bart told Willie that Maisie didn't love him and the family was just using him, which Pa MacWeldon admitted to. However, Maisie said that she had no idea that her family were planning that and she actually loved Willie, so she broke his nose so he couldn't smell peat, or anything, ever again. Owen MacWeldon then watched on as the wedding continued.
