History

The Simpson family sees a trailer and clips from the latest Original Series film, Star Trek XII: So Very Tired, which depicts an elderly and senile cast. Captain Kirk complains about poor sleeping habits and everyone else's indifference to his complaining.[1]

William Shatner, whilst dressed as Captain Kirk, auditioned for the role of Mr. Burns in A Burns for All Seasons. He wasn't successful.[2]

When Comic Book Guy hallucinated that he was Spock and saved James T. Kirk's life, Uhura told him that she wanted to make out with him, and so did Catwoman and Agent 99.[3]

When Homer told his family about Mr. McGrew's Christmas Carol, they showed him a version of A Christmas Carol where Captain Kirk wanted a report from Mr. Sulu. Sulu told him there appears to be some spirit from an Earth holiday past. That made Kirk ask Mr. Scott to fire the photon torpedoes but it was no use as he was showing visions of his future where he is fat. The captain was then angry and asked them to fire, and they did it.[4]

When Comic Book Guy was doing a world record attempt at recreating the most fictional deaths in one minute, he dressed as Captain Kirk for one of the deaths.[5]

When Lisa could not answer the Vice President's Assessment Test, Chalmers told her that like Captain Kirk, he is not supposed to interfere but like T. J. Hooker he can say what is on his mind.[6] On Comic Book Guy's list of greatest quotes of all time is "I don't believe in the no-win scenario" by James T. Kirk.[7]
