History[edit]
When the Blue-haired lawyer asked Lisa Simpson if she could give a reason why the city should not force her to shut down her site, she answered that she had four digits of friends and one friend in common with Malcolm Gladwell. The blue-haired lawyer then told her that he friends everybody. That answer from him made Lisa decide to shut down the site.[1]
Homer mentions Malcolm Gladwell's statement in his book Outliers that 10,000 hours are needed to become a specialist at anything.[2]
