Audrey McConnell was the third grade teacher at Springfield Elementary School. Her personality is uncharacteristically for a teacher at Springfield Elementary, she doesn't seem as downbeat or exasperated as Krabappel or Hoover, displaying a certain degree of cheerfulness, confidence and competence, at least until she witnesses a failure of the buddy system. She dislikes Edna Krabappel because when she is mentioning where Bart and Lisa previous class teachers she coughs and says 'slut' [1]. She is later seen teaching the other fourth grade class, presuming that she switched from 3rd Grade to 4th [2].
