Mr. Lacoste is a snooty French waiter at Springfield's fancy restaurant the Gilded Truffle. He was a server at Freddy Quimby's birthday party at the Quimby Compound and then falsely accused Freddy Quimby of beating him up in a kitchen.

History[edit]

He was serving as a waiter at Freddy's 18th birthday party. While serving up dinner, Freddy was amused by the way Mr. Lacoste pronounced "chowder". Quimby followed Lacoste into the kitchen (where Bart Simpson was hiding), Lacoste refused to say "chowder" to Quimby again, a commotion was heard and Mr. Lacoste was knocked out, Bart was the only witness. Quimby appeared in court after Lacoste accused him of beating him senseless. in court Bart testified and was able to prove Lacoste had clumsily crashed about the kitchen and knocked himself out. He stood up in the courtroom proclaiming he was not a clumsy Clouseau-esque waiter (Inspector Clouseau of the French Sûreté was the lead character in The Pink Panther slapstick comedy series), but he then immediately stumbled on a chair, falling out an open window down into a parked open-roofed delivery truck of rat traps.[1]

Lacoste was later seen working at various fancy restaurants.
