Joyce Carol Oates is an American author.

History

When Lisa thought she was an accomplice to the death of Martin Prince, Jr. she imagined she was sitting in the prison when the bookmobile came and she asked if they had any Joyce Carol Oates and they answered that it is only Danielle Steel and she started to scream.[1]

She was eating outside Luigi's with Kent Brockman. Lisa was excited to meet her but was upset because she had gotten rid of her autograph book. Lisa tried to get her to sign a menu but she said she'd only sign books and checks.[2]
