She replied, "The ebony fighter awakens, dabbled with the dewy beads of morn. It is a mach-5 child, forever bound to suckle from the shriveled breast of Congress." Moe was also there and was surprised at Maya Angelou is black.[1]

When Lisa asked Becky Shorter what she was doing she said she couldn't join them as no one wants to listen to her skipping rhymes, which are poems by Maya Angelou.[2]

Behind the Laughter

On May 28, 2014, Angelou was found dead in her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at age 86 by her caretaker. She had been in bad health and had cancelled recent scheduled appearances.
