Sacagawea, or Sacajawea, was a native American who traveled with Lewis and Clark to explore the west of the American country.

Sacajawea's grave was seen in the Indian Burial Ground beneath the Evil House.[3]
When the Lewis and Clark expedition wanted a guide to get them to the Pacific Ocean, they went to a Native American village where Chief Homer gave them Sacagawea. Sacagawea's husband, who Sacagawea disliked, Toussaint Charbonneau, also went with them. Sacagawea told the expedition members to stop doing things because they were eating or using poisonous things. One expedition member, Tweedleburger, refused to listen to her and ate some berries and then died.
Over the course of the expedition, Sacagawea got more and more annoyed at Lewis and Clark for their incompetence as explorers. When Sacagawea questioned them about this, Lewis and Clark told her that they were chosen for the expedition because they owned a compass, even though the needle was just painted on. Eventually, the expedition came across a group of Native Americans led by Sacagawea's brother. Sacagawea got them to stand down and not kill the expedition as they were her friends, but let her brother kill Charbonneau. Later in the expedition, they reached the Columbia River. Upon doing so, Clark said they could follow it to the Pacific and have mermaid sex. After correcting them, saying it was salmon they were thinking of, Lewis told Sacagawea that she should be grateful for them civilizing her. Sacagawea, annoyed at this, stormed off, leaving them alone.
After she left Lewis and Clark, Sacagawea lay down on a warm, woolly rock. This rock, however, turned out to be a mountain lion. When she was backing away from it, Lewis and Clark came to her rescue, making themselves seem bigger to scare it off, showing they had listened to Sacagawea's advice. Sacagawea was happy that they remembered what she had taught them and continued on the expedition with them, eventually reaching the Pacific Ocean.[4]
