The food on the Izzy's Deli menu is called after American personalities, including entertainer Joey Bishop, stand-up comedian Jackie Mason, and actor Bruce Willis.[1]
Krusty isn't scared of Gabbo, as he's had plenty of guys come after him, and has buried them all, including Joey Bishop.[2]
When there's a knock on the door at 8am, Krusty says that if it is Joey Bishop he's "not gonna give you Liza's new number!", and reveals that Minnelli has a restraining order out against Bishop.[3]
