Matthew was an evangelist who authored the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament of the Holy Bible.
History
When King Herod the Great arrived with his soldiers to kill Jesus, one soldier said that nobody would ever speak or write of what they do again. Matthew then heard what was happening and wrote it down, thinking it would be a boffo opening for his book.[1]
