Walter Mondale is an American politician. He was the Vice President of the United States from 1977 to 1981 (serving under President Jimmy Carter) and was the losing candidate in the 1984 U.S. presidential election.

History[edit]

The Springfield Shopper issue from the day Lisa was born had the headline "Mondale to Hart: Where's the beef?".[1]

Walter Mondale's picture was on the wall of the Springfield Speakers Bureau.[2]

A cleaner that looked like Walter Mondale helped Krusty with his airline rerouting bill.[3]

Lisa had a nightmare in which Mondale, John Kerry and Michael Dukakis appeared to her in ghostly forms.[4]

An animatronic of Walter Mondale was seen in the Hall of Vice Presidents at Kissimmee St. Nick Theme Park and Resort.[5]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The significance of the three men appearing in Lisa's "losers" nightmare is that all three are Democrats who lost U.S. presidential elections: Mondale in 1984, Kerry in 2004 and Dukakis in 1988.
