Sometime after Nelson was born, Mrs. Muntz's husband left her, because she developed an addiction to cough drops.[1]

Mrs. Muntz began a job as a stripper called Hooters.[2]

Marge Simpson once 'adopted' Nelson because his mother was neglecting him. Sometime after this, Nelson's father returned and the family reunited, with Mrs. Muntz having acquired a job portraying Lady Macbeth in the play Macbeth, after sleeping with the player's director.[3] However, this was shortlived, when Mrs. Muntz began a relationship with Moe Szyslak[4], and then married a clown.[5]

Mrs. Muntz seemed more caring to Nelson upon an accident following an unauthorized school trip hosted by Springfield Elementary School's then-Superintendent Chalmers, when she hired a lawyer to sue Springfield Elementary.[6]

Mrs. Muntz began a job, also as a stripper, at Classy Girls Strip Club.[7]

Behind the Laughter

She was seen with black hair a couple of times[8][4], implying that she dyes her hair.
