History
Arthur Crandall was the ventriloquist behind Gabbo. When they began their own TV show, it was an instant hit among the children of Springfield. Krusty's show, by contrast, suffered declining ratings and was soon cancelled. Later, Gabbo was caught using foul language directed at children, and a scandal ensued. Krusty returned to TV in a comeback special, and Crandall and Gabbo went downhill and were soon forgotten.[1]
Crandall and Gabbo later had a performing gig at Caesar's Pow-Wow Casino. They had evidently fallen on hard times, as Gabbo had noticeably deteriorated from wear and tear.[2]
Arthur Crandall and Gabbo were inside the dome during Trappuccino, and they were part of the mob that was after Homer for polluting Lake Springfield.[3]
Despite their shows being rivals; he appears to be a friend of Sideshow Mel as he attended Mel's 45th birthday party.[4]
