Garfield is a fictional cat. Milhouse has one of his binders.

History[edit]

Luigi said Snowball II reminded him of "the cat in the funny papers, who's-a not so funny."[1]

When Fat Tony asked Milhouse if he can "borrow" one of his binders he asked if he wanted Garfield or Love Is. Fat Tony chose Garfield as he prefers the cat, as he hates Mondays, which we can all relate to.[2]

In The Itchy & Scratchy Show episode "The Garfield Assassination", Itchy, who was dressed as Garfield, brought Scratchy, his cousin, some lasagne. The lasagne had a bomb in it and Itchy removed the costume and blew it up, killing Scratchy.[3]

Ralph went to The Android's Dungeon to buy a Batman comic. When Comic Book Guy asked what one he wanted, Ralph said he wanted the one where Batman eats lasagna. Comic Book Guy then pointed out that he meant Garfield, who is a cat, not a bat.[4]

After Krusty briefly retired from his show, Bart found him working at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. While there, Krusty told Bart that he's not allowed to laugh on the job, which is why he keeps Garfield cartoons taped to his cubicle.[5]
