Ebenezer McGrew, better known as Mr. McGrew, is a character from Mr. McGrew's Christmas Carol.
History[edit]
Mr. McGrew told Bob Cratchett that he had to work on Christmas or he'd lose his job. Bob Cratchett then pointed out that McGrew wasn't actually looking at him while speaking. McGrew was actually speaking to his stovepipe oven, which he then mistook for a pregnant woman. McGrew proceeded to put his head in the oven.
Later, the Ghost of Christmas Past appeared to Mr. McGrew and told him that his fiancée was about to leave him because of his selfishness. McGrew said he didn't need love because he had money. Later that night, Mr. McGrew pleaded with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, but the spirit pointed at a grave with his name on it.
