King Julio of Spain was one of many suitors to Queen Elizabeth I.
History
When he asked Queen Elizabeth I for her hand in marriage, she passed him as he was making goo-goo eyes with her court jester. King Julio said that this was because he liked men who can make him laugh. He then tried to take the jester with him but Queen Elizabeth I refused to let the jester go. This angered King Julio who went back to Spain and planned an attack against England.
Even though the Spanish armada far outnumbered the English ships, Walter Raleigh managed to set fire to his own ships and they were sent into the Spanish fleet, defeating them. King Julio was on board one of the ships as it was destroyed.
