When Apu, as a member of The Be Sharps, was asked if he was Indian, Apu answered "by the many arms of Vishnu, I swear it is a lie."[1]
During the song "We Put the Spring in Springfield", Apu held up a statue of Vishnu and sung the line "the extra arms on Vishnu".[2]
When the kids at Springfield Elementary had seen Principal Skinner and Mrs. Krabappel making out in the school's supply closet, Pahusacheta Nahasapeemapetilon went and told Apu and her father that she saw Principal Skinner in the closet with a teacher, and Skinner had as many hands as Vishnu, and they were all busy.[3]
