India is a country in South Asia and is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon's native country. Its capital city is New Delhi.

History

The Kwik-E-Mart headquarters is located in the Himalayas, in India, and Apu and Homer once traveled there to get Apu's job back.

The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant was temporarily outsourced to India and Homer became a supervisor for the plant in Bangalore. While there, he met Apu's cousin Kavi.

To rescue a cow Bart raised, Apu shipped the cow by air to India since cows are sacred animals in the country.
