Fox Mulder is an FBI Special Agent, along with his partner, Dana Scully.
History[edit]
Mulder believes in UFOs and in a government conspiracy to hide or deny the truth of their existence. He and Dana Scully work in the X-Files office, which is concerned with cases with of a particularly mysterious—or possibly supernatural—nature that were left unsolved and shelved by the FBI.
When Homer believed he had seen an alien, Mulder and Scully came to Springfield to investigate. They interviwed Homer and put him through a series of medical tests. At one point, Scully had Homer running on a treadmill in his underwear and Mulder asked her what the point of the test was. Scully replied that she "just thought he could stand to lose a little weight". After watching for a moment, Mulder said, "His jiggling is almost hypnotic."
They next had Homer go everywhere he'd been the night of his sighting, finishing with the place in the forest where he'd seen the "alien". When the only thing they saw in the forest was Grampa, Scully said she'd seen enough and left, figuring that Homer was crazy. Mulder, however, stayed in the forest, talking at length (and by himself) about the mysteries of the universe until night.[1]
