Lyle McCarthy is a celebrity fitness trainer.

History

When Homer became Everyman in the Everyman film, Lyle McCarthy was hired to get him fit for the role. Lyle put Homer through a training regime and diet and eventually got him fit enough to play the character. On a rooftop scene, Lyle told Homer that he had to leave to train someone else. He then jumped off the roof and used his jacket to glide down to the bus stop. After Lyle left, Homer started to put on weight again.

After the premier of the film, Lyle McCarthy showed up and asked Homer what happened to him. Homer broke down and asked Lyle who he left him for. Lyle told Homer that he had to go train Turtle from Entourage.

Other celebrities Lyle trained include Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Tobey Maguire.
