Montgomery "Scotty" Scott is a engineer in the Star Trek franchise.
History[edit]
The Simpson family saw a trailer and clips from the latest Original Series film, Star Trek XII: So Very Tired, which depicts an elderly and senile cast. In the trailer Scotty is so overweight he can no longer reach the control panel in engineering.[1]
Leonard Nimoy wrote the autobiography I Am Also Scotty and portrayed Scotty on the front cover.[2]
When Homer told his family about Mr. McGrew's Christmas Carol, they showed him a version of A Christmas Carol where Captain Kirk wanted a report from Mr. Sulu.
