Jacqueline Ingrid "Jackie" Bouvier (née Gurney) is the mother of Marge Simpson, Patty and Selma Bouvier, and the wife of the late Clancy Bouvier. She also had a sister named Gladys, who is now deceased. Like all Bouvier women, Jacqueline is voiced by Julie Kavner.

Common Bouvier Traits
Like her twin daughters she used to smoke heavily in the episode "I Married Marge". She also shared her younger daughter Marge's blue hair. In her younger days she spoke as raspy as her daughters, Patty and Selma. She almost never smiles (except in Lady Bouvier's Lover), she also seems pessimistic, critical and also unsociable. She also disapproves of Marge's marriage to Homer along with her other daughters, Patty and Selma. She is thought to have to blue eyes. She was born on May 22, 1929.
Romantic Relationships
She had a brief romance with Abraham Simpson, her son-in-law Homer's father. However, she broke up with him when she was wooed by billionaire Montgomery Burns, whom she came close to marrying before Abraham's intervention made her decide she was better off alone. She has also made many other minor appearances such as in the episodes Bart vs. Thanksgiving and Sleeping with the Enemy. She has not appeared in any episodes in recent seasons.
Younger Days
When going through an old photo album, Abe Simpson can't help but notice Jackie used to be 'nifty number' in her younger years. Jackie tells him she got a lot of attention from the boys in her days, which drove all of her friends (Zelda Fitzgerald, Frances Farmer, and little Sylvia Plath) into insanity. Name Origin and Creation
The character is created by creator Matt Groening is named after Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. She has the tallest hair of any Simpson character. Her design according to a DVD commentary was created by "Taking Marge's Model and squashed it".
