Character Information

Dexter Colt is a private detective hired by Homer to spy on Lisa.
History
When Homer wanted to get to know Lisa better, Moe suggested that he should hire Dexter Colt to find out about Lisa. Homer went to his office and Dexter Colt told Homer that he charged $50 a day, plus expenses. Dexter got to work on finding out what Lisa liked by bribing and blackmailing her fellow students, raiding her locker at school and getting information from her school permanent record. Eventually, he put together a report on everything Lisa liked and left it for Homer.
When Homer went to pay Colt, he found that Colt had paid for many expensive items and services as his expenses and was charging Homer $1,000. Homer refused to pay and escaped from Colt's office. The next day, someone had trashed the Screaming Monkey Medical Research Center and stolen the animals, framing Lisa in the process. As the police went after Homer and Lisa, they escaped. At The Three Seasons Motel, Homer ended up admitting to Lisa that he hired Colt to find out about her. Eventually, Homer and Lisa ended up at a traveling circus, where they found the stolen animals. Dexter Colt was also at the circus and threatened to fire The Flying Giuseppe at Homer and Lisa. Homer pushed Lisa out of the way and got hit by the human cannonball. Homer then escaped into the Hall of Mirrors, with Colt chasing after him. After Colt shot Homer, Lisa entered the Hall of Mirrors too and used the laser pointer she got from Bart to blind Colt and defeat him. He was then arrested by the police.[1]
At some point later, Dexter Colt was hired by Mr. Burns to find information on Lyla. When Colt wanted payment, Burns hit the trap door button but his desk had been moved recently so Burns fell down the trap hole instead.[2]
