Popo is a clown.

History

Popo was part of an attraction called "Try & Dunk Popo!" at the State Fair. Homer gave the attendant $20 for as many balls as he needed to dunk Popo, saying that he was going down this year. Popo told Homer to watch his stance when throwing as he could throw his back out. When Homer questioned this, because the previous year Popo had called him a "girly man" and "a fat tub of goo", Popo said that he had anger issues last year and had grown as a person. Popo then said that Homer's weight was in the danger zone for a person of his age. Homer then tried to climb into Popo's cage to attack him, with the attendant pulling Homer away.

Later, Popo said that you should remember to always buckle up and change the batteries in smoke detectors.
