Patricia "Peppermint Patty" Reichart is a character in the Peanuts comic strip.

History[edit]

When Marge suggested a family outing, Bart interpreted it to mean sexually, and said he'd start, exclaiming " Lisa's gay!". Lisa responded, sarcastically, that she wouldn't want to be gay like her heroes Billie Jean King, Susan Sontag, Sappho of Lesbos, and she suspects, Peppermint Patty.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Peppermint Patty's tomboyish behavior and close friendship with Marcie have led to speculation among some Peanuts fans that the two are lesbians in a romantic relationship. However, both girls have long-standing crushes on Charlie Brown.
