When telling Marge about an affair between Homer and Selma, Patty swore on Oprah as her witness.[2]

On the TV-show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was broadcast on the November 4, 1992 on ABC, she interviewed the creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening and then went to interview the Simpson family themselves.[3]
